god's grace (a poem)

I see her sit, upon the grit,
whilst no one is around.
Deep down she knows, straight to her toes,
she’s lost, not yet been found.
I see her run, like a shooting gun,
away from those she knows.
Not knowing when, or what might have been.
A life so full of woes.
/
I see her cry, from a tearful eye,
not knowing what to do.
She’s so unsure, her thoughts seem pure,
yet darkness still ensues.
/
I see her walk, her spirit talk,
to one she has not met.
She’s wondering, will her heart sing,
if forgiven for her debt.
/
I see her think, with pen and ink,
her thoughts all written down.
Though no one knows, if her heart grows,
or fades without a sound.
/
I see her strive, with such a drive,
to make herself anew.
Yet all that’s gold, will soon unfold,
filthy, bland, untrue.
/
I see her wait, in full prostrate,
full of such lament.
With heavy heart, nowhere to start,
she feels her days are spent.
/
I see her read, a planted seed,
to grow within her soul.
The truths unfold, from worlds untold,
to fill that voided hole.
/
I see her hear, a voice so clear,
from deep within her soul.
His beauty shine, A joy sublime.
A savior from long ago.
/
I see her breathe, first time relieved.
A softness in her heart.
A savior’s love, like a gentle dove,
no longer they’re apart.
/
I see her sing, of her wellspring,
overflowing with such joy.
Still no one knows, that her heart grows,
too timid to employ.
/
I see her shake, fear makes her quake,
to share her Father’s word.
To live in vain, and not speak his name,
her spirit remains unstirred.
/
I see her share, so much to bear,
with honesty, not strife.
With listening ears, her neighbor hears,
of the one who gives us life.
/
I see her speak, firm yet meek,
her soul cannot restrain.
The glory of, her savior’s love
who washed away her stain.
/
I see her grow, wisdom bestow,
through study of His word.
Her prayers sincere, for Him to hear.
Her soul seems undeterred.
/
I see her die, daily deny,
herself for something higher.
Been born again, saved from her sin.
A Christ-centered attire.
/
I see her strain, far too much pain,
from losing one so close.
Death of a friend, only one there’s been,
“My heart God diagnose”
/
I see her pray, through her dismay,
The deepest pain she’s known.
“Though times are tough, God is enough!
you satisfy my soul”.
/
“My heart, it weeps. But your love exceeds,
the torture in my heart.
Un-denying grace, help me run this race,
Lord, never do depart.”
/
“My God is good, and if you should,
Lord, bring comfort to my life.
You hold me in your hand, though hard to understand,
Lord, get me through this strife.”
/
“Above all things, my King of Kings,
I treasure you the most.
My friend may fail, to no avail,
but not the God of hosts.”
/
“You are my strength, through any length
of life that I may live.
Your love is shown, your glory known,
My all to you I give.”
/
“I praise you God, it may seem odd,
to show honor through such hell.
Through suffering, you’re my wellspring.
My God, oh my God, it is well!”
/
